Initially, when my husband & I moved from San Diego, CA to Oklahoma City, OK I was extremely disappointed. I wasn't excited about the cold winters or the smaller sized city. Well here we are, almost two years later, & I couldn't love OKC more! While I still miss San Diego with its pristine weather and sandy beaches, I have grown to love this little OK city more than I thought!

I was so excited when Michael said we should take some outfit pictures downtown because I thought it was a great opportunity to highlight some of the amazing parts of this city! The beautiful skyline, the unique alley's, & the perfect fall weather where colorful leaves sprinkle the city streets.

Since it has started to drastically cool off lately, my go-to piece has been a faux fur vest. It was perfect over a tunic & leggings. Such a classically chic outfit but in the most comfortable way possible!
The best piece of this outfit? These bow shoes! Sole Society absolutely nailed it with the trendy herringbone print, pointy toe, and oversized bow on top. They have been in heavy rotation already this fall & I think they will be perfect throughout the winter as well. You might consider hopping on over & getting yourself a pair before they completely sell out!

If you have ever visited OKC, I would love to hear about your trip!

Perfectly Coutured

#Insta{lately}

Hey gals! Today I wanted to share recent Instagram posts with shoppable links of my favorite fall looks. I've gotten a few questions about where/how to purchase so hopefully this helps!

I am loving all of the layers & vests that I'm getting to pile on! I can't wait to add scarves and thicker sweaters to my daily rotation soon.
Thanks for stopping by today!

I am so excited to share these pictures with you! My husband, Jake, typically takes all my outfit photos. With very little prior camera experience, it has been a learning process! However, I was lucky enough to partner up with Michael & take a few outfit photos in downtown OKC! {If you're in the OKC area & need any pictures, I highly recommend him}

I would be lying if I didn't acknowledge that this is one of my favorite outfits to date on Styled Blonde. It is the perfect mix of prints, layers & girly/tough styles.

Last year I searched high and low to find the perfect pair of camouflage pants. I ended up hitting the jackpot with these American Eagle camo pants from the men's department! {If you didn't already know, I love shopping other departments} I'm obsessed with their boyfriend fit & the thicker material. Paired with nude heels + a little sparkle + bows & gingham, this outfit just came together perfectly!

If there is anything from this outfit that I'm convinced you have to have, it is this bow sweater. Designed by the one & only Lauren Conrad, you can find it at Kohl's {which means sale prices & coupons to add on top}.
I may have mixed three different prints in today's look but I dare you to take a stab at mixing two patterns this week! Share your look on Instagram & tag me :)

Holiday Shopping Part 1

Yes, you read that right. Holiday shopping.
With stocking stuffers lining the Walgreens aisles & Christmas trees on full display at Hobby Lobby, it is time to face the facts. It is time to start thinking about all the gifts you need to buy for friends & family!

As a total OCD planner, I have been buying Christmas presents since this summer. Whenever I stumble upon a good sale, I always think about who I will need to buy gifts for & if it makes sense to buy it for a certain person on my list. I have found some exceptional deals this way & saved a lot of money in the long run! I hate waiting until the last minute on anything, so this is the perfect way to keep myself sane and my bank account happy!

Although Black Friday is known as the big "sale" day, I have found that many stores have higher prices on that day than other sale days. Although you can get great deals on those big ticket items, don't always buy into the buzz about great sales and it being the best time to shop!

If you set your sights on who you need to buy for & what you want to look for now, you are much more likely to save big! Christmas shopping gets expensive and I like to spread that cost out over a couple months as oppose to squeezing it all in between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

So with that said, let's take a look at some of the items I have on my list to buy for friends & family. I will be stalking websites and deal sites to find the best time to buy. I rarely buy a gift without some type of discount or sale!

Below are some great items that might not perfectly fit someone on MY list, but they are a great price and might be appropriate for someone on your list!

I plan on sharing a few "Holiday Shopping" posts with new sales & deals as we get closer to the happiest time of the year. Stay tuned for more options that might make their way under your tree!

Confessional Friday

After a <c r a z y> week I am here to do some confessing! Let's get straight to it....

1. I confess that this week I featured several items in my outfit posts {like this dress & this jacket} that were part of my Le Tote box. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first ordered it, but I easily wore everything in the box at least twice in the week I had it! I should be able to get one more box in before the month is up & I suspect it will be just as good. If you haven't looked into ordering a Le Tote, I think you should check it out!

2. I confess that even though my husband is in the military, I don't often get to see him in uniform. Lucky for me, he had to wear his cammies one morning this week and oh.my.goodness. As handsome as I think he is, seeing him in uniform just makes my heart stop! Marines in rolled sleeves anyone? ;)

3. I confess that faux fur vests are one of my favorite trends for this season! You can literally throw one on over almost anything... Flannels, blouses, dresses, & the list goes on! I have this option from H&M, this one from the girl's section at Target, & this from the women's section at Target. {Here are great options, all under $50}

4. One more Target purchase to rave on? These wedge booties. Comfortable enough for me to wear at school all day & cute enough to go with lots of looks! Even though I really want these Kate Spade boots, I guess I will have to stick with this Target pair for the time being. Shucks.

5. I confess that Thursday & Friday are parent/teacher conference days at school this week. It made for a looooong Thursday night but I am done at noon today. I cannot wait to go enjoy this beautiful Friday afternoon!

Well, that wraps up all of my secrets for today! I am linked up with A Blonde Ambition for this wonderful day of confessing. Go enjoy your weekend girls!

Girl in the Blue Dress

Dress: Le Tote, exact here / Wedge Booties: Target / Necklaces: Bauble Bar & Kendra Scott / Double Pearl Earrings

If I were to design my ideal date night dress, this would be it. Exactly.
Blue is my absolute favorite color & I'm in love this bright cobalt shade! Plus this loose, swing style is perfectly comfortable for eating yourself silly. {preferably on sushi}

After a long day of meetings, class, & practice, I usually don't have a lot of time to come home & get ready. My husband is always begging me to hurry up before he starves to death :) This dress was super easy to throw on with a pair of comfy wedges. I layered this simple frock with some of my favorite jewels and it was perfect for a night out with my man!

What is your go-to date night outfit?

Personal Style

Jacket: Le Tote similar here / Tunic: Nordstrom (sold out) similar here / Skinnies: American Eagle similar here / Nude Pumps: Steve Madden / Bow Bag: Kate Spade similar here / Necklace: Kendra Scott

Let's talk personal style.
I really find it hard to describe my personal style in one or two words. I feel like I am constantly trying new trends, putting different things together, and pairing high and low end pieces. Some days I throw on 6 different patterns and push the envelope just a little. Other days I stick with super basic pieces for a classic look.

I like comfy flats. I like sky high heels. I like feminine skirts. I like comfy jeans. I like dainty jewelry. I like chunky statement necklaces. I like fitted jackets. I like flowy tops. I like flirty crop tops. I like structured layers.

There are very few styles out there that I'm completely opposed to trying! & I truly like so many different fashion trends. I enjoy the fact that my closet is so diverse and I can walk in and dress however I might feel that particular morning! I find satisfaction in the fact that I generally like all things fashion! Maybe as I get older I will find a style that is more "mine" and a way to define my closet. However, for now, I'll continue to buy from multiple stores, departments, and lines & have a closet full of a little bit of everything.

What about you? Can you easily define your wardrobe? Or are you more of a wild woman like me? ;)
