Spring MUST Have: Floral Kimono

Hi, friends!
I had an amazing Spring Break trip to Savannah, GA last week! My husband's twin sister & her husband live there so we took a trip to visit them. While I loved getting to spend time with them, it didn't hurt that it was warm and sunny there most of the time too :) The Savannah/Hilton Head area is absolutely gorgeous & I would recommend it as a vacay destination for just about anyone!

I snapped these pictures with Michael before we left & loved the spring colors in this look! Bright greens & blues + floral print are just perfection for the first days of Spring. I paired it with crisp white jeans {because they just make everything look better!} and a few of my favorite accessories. I also have to mention, this floral kimono is the perfect warm weathered addition to your closet! At only $17, it is a great layering piece- even for those warm summer days. Throw it over a tank, printed tee, or as a swim suit cover up & you are good to go!

Enjoy your Tuesday!!

I took the pictures last week with Michael {from MZ Photography} in preparation for our Spring Break trip to the beach. I knew this cobalt blue skirt would be a perfect pair with this bright green top. It's the perfect mix of colors for a trip to the beach!

This is my first trip to Savannah & oh. my. breathtaking. It is so insanely gorgeous here! The weather is perfect, the landscape is beautiful & the food is to die for. We have the best tour guides {Jake's twin sister, Becky & her husband, Danny}. Last night we ate at Bahama Bob's- a hole in the wall seafood joint. Aren't those always the best? Pounds of shrimp, crab leg & oysters later, we sat in a food coma for the majority of the night! Tomorrow we are headed down to River Street for a massive St. Patrick's Day celebration. Make sure to wear your green, friends!

Spring Colors

Long time, no see!
Life has been just a little hectic recently. A few weekend trips, the beginning of track season {I coach}, the end of one cheer season & starting a new one with tryouts this week! Whew. I am tired just thinking about it all.

I am so relieved that the warmer weather is here & the sun is out! I absolutely love going home & still having several hours of daylight. In honor of the Spring changes taking place in OK, I pulled out my warmer weather, brighter colored clothing options! I paired these neon yellow khakis with a basic {but super functional- it goes with everything} tank from Blush Boutique & this amazing collarless blazer from Sheinside! I love that this blazer is just a bit more casual without a collar and the stripes are a fun print to wear. At $28, it's definitely a piece your closet needs for spring! & I have to mention... See that gorgeous turquoise Kendra Scott necklace? Ya, my super sweet cheerleaders gifted it to me {plus a matching bracelet & earrings!} as an end-of-year gift. Is that not the best present ever!?!

I met up with Michael from MZ photography to shoot a few of my favorite spring outfits. Stay tuned for more bright options coming soon :)

Have a great Thursday!!

Save vs. Splurge

Good morning! I've got something a little bit different for you today!
As I've said before, our teacher/military income doesn't exactly allow for an endless shopping budget.   {Fun fact: Oklahoma teachers are paid awful. The state ranks #49 for average teacher salary} Oh, yay! ;) This means I spend a lot of time looking for the cheaper version of my favorite {more expensive} pieces! I've rounded up a few of my favorite save vs. splurge deals below!
