Winterize {Copper Peacock Boutique}

I hate that so many of my absolute favorite pieces get stashed away during the winter because they don’t seem to fit the bill for “cold weather” outfits. I have challenged myself to get creative this year & integrate those warm weather favorites to season appropriate looks!
Sweater: Gap similar here / Jean Jacket: Old Navy / Palazzo Pants: Copper Peacock Boutique / Ankle Boots: Target love these / Bag: Kate Spade similar here / Bracelets: Mindy Mae’s Market {use code ‘kelsslayt’ for 10% off} / Necklace: Kendra Scott {Color Bar design} similar here / Earrings: Emmajoy {use code ‘kelsslayt20’ for 20% off} / Watch: Nordstrom

Palazzo pants are certainly a summer staple {& incredibly comfortable}. However, I wanted to take this vivid, fun look into winter to brighten those dreary days! With the cold & snow that has blasted Oklahoma recently, I figured these hot pink & navy stunners from Copper Peacock Boutique would be ideal to remind me of those warm, sunny times.

To winterize these pants I paired them with a simple sweater layered with a denim jacket. With gold jewelry & ankle boots, this outfit is perfect for a cool day at the mall or running around town.

Copper Peacock Boutique has so many other great options to spruce up your winter wardrobe! From tunics to blanket scarves to puffer vests, they certainly have you covered! They are always adding great new options & with free shipping on all orders over $50, you can definitely afford to get some new pieces for Thanksgiving & the holidays!

I challenge you to pull out a summer favorite and mix it into your current wardrobe! Share it with me on Instagram 🙂

Confessional Friday

Well hello there! So glad you have joined me this lovely Friday morning for a few confessions! Let’s jump right in…

1. I confess I had a little mid-week hiatus. I think we all go through times where there is so much that consumes your day, your thoughts, your time that you start to lose your mind. & Unfortunately, this little blog suffered just a tad. Sorry to leave you hanging since I know you are just dying to see my latest outfits 😉 I promise to be back in full force next week with lots of great deals for you!

2. I confess I was lucky enough to host a fun little party at Kendra Scott in Oklahoma City on Monday! I loved browsing the store & trying on their fabulous jewelry. I even walked away with a design I created from the Color Bar! Plus, it was lovely hanging out with Irene from The OP Life too.

3. I confess that I have a party this Sunday and YOU’RE invited 🙂 Loft is currently having a big Friends & Family sale with a great discount. This Sunday {the 16th} I will be hosting a party at the Loft store inside Penn Square mall at 7pm. This is an “After Hours” party where we will celebrate with food & drinks. Feel free to come shop the sale or even just browse & chat! I would absolutely love to meet you girls that are in the OKC area. Let me know if I can look forward to meeting you! Here are a few things I am looking to score during the sale:

4. I confess that I am really, really excited to attend the Marine Corps Birthday Ball tonight!! It is a formal event to celebrate the tradition & history of the greatest fighting force in the world. I have attended these in the past & it is an incredible honor to sit in a room full of Marines that have sacrificed so much for this great nation. It also doesn’t hurt that I get to play dress-up and wear a glamorous gown 😉 This year I found an incredible selection to choose from at Rent The Runway. They have so many designer gowns to rent for an affordable cost! I chose a Badgley Mischka dress that I can’t wait to share pictures of. Rent The Runway offers designer dresses , a free back up size, and lots of dresses under $30 that would be perfect for any holiday party you have coming up! Here is a throwback collage of the past balls I have attended {2008, 2009, 2011} with the Mr….

Well that’s all I have for you on this fine Friday! I have to get my work done quick today & hopefully squeeze in a short nap before tonight’s celebration! Tag along with A Blonde Ambition & I to confess your little heart out too 🙂

Back again with the ever popular herringbone vest! I remember first seeing this vest about two years ago on Pinterest. It stopped me mid-scroll & I absolutely fell in love with it. I feel like I could easily throw it on over just about any outfit. You gotta love those items in your closet that can be so versatile!

I decided to spice up the black sweater & vest ensemble with a mustard & turquoise mix. Banana Republic Factory was having a great sale & I finally picked up these mustard skinnies that I have been searching for, for months! Whew. So happy to put them at home in my closet 🙂

On to the really exciting stuff… This necklace + earring combo from Emmajoy. I seriously can’t say enough great things about the popular styles they offer, their unbeatable prices, & fabulous customer service. I’m sure you have seen the coveted double sided earrings at lots of places recently but Emmajoy is the place to finally score yourself a pair. At only $12 {after using the discount code kelsslayt20}, you won’t be able to find a better deal on this popular trend! Don’t miss out!

Last, but certainly not least, I want to recognize my favorite Veteran on this special day. He has sacrificed so much for this country & I couldn’t be prouder to call him my husband. With so many holidays, birthdays & anniversary’s spent apart, I truly cherish every day that I get to spend with him. You are my hero, Jake.
