Tunic Love


This. Tunic. I am seriously in love with the color, length, fit, style… everything! It’s a very “spring-y” color so I see myself wearing this a whole lot over the next few months. For the first go-round I opted for a pair of crisp white skinnies and my favorite {super sized} statement necklace. I think distressed boyfriend jeans might be up next 🙂 Shop more of my favorite tunics below!

I apologize for the lack of posts this week. Our entire weekend was dedicated to the #BigAlStrong fundraiser and let me tell you.. It was INCREDIBLE. We raised just over $24,000 for Alex & Jamie to combat the costs of chemo, hospital stays, etc. I love how our little community came together to rally in support of them. It makes me so proud to be from that sweet small town.

On a teacher budget, it’s important to have lots of pieces in your closet that can be mixed & matched with other staples in your wardrobe. I wore this striped top earlier this week here & this utility jacket here. They are both basic pieces that I can easily pair with lots of things in my closet to get the most use out of them! I have a really hard time justifying purchases of items that I am limited to only 1 or 2 outfit options. While I never spend much on clothing items {& I almost always buy on sale}, it is easier to buy “nicer” things when I can instantly picture 10+ outfits in my head!

Stripes are so easy. They are great for print mixing- think: florals, polkadots, plaid, leopard, etc. & This utility jacket { + my denim jacket} are the best pieces for spring! They go with just about everything & are great layering pieces when the weather is up and down. 

Well I hope you girls have had a great week so far! This weekend is the #BigAlStrong Fundraiser so I am ready to get home & get the party started!

Winter Mint

One of my favorite colors {at any time of the year} is mint. It can be so pretty in the winter paired with white or navy yet bright & cheery in the spring mixed with coral or yellow. Since it’s a color I wear a lot & I like how it looks on, I often find myself searching websites specifically for mint colored items! Today I decided I would share my favorite finds with you in case you love mint as much as I do 🙂 It is such a great color that can help your closet flow into the new season!
