The Marine Corps Birthday Ball is a formal event that I get to attend with my husband every year! It’s a wonderful night celebrating the proud history of one of our nation’s greatest fighting forces. The night is very formal & requires a floor length gown. While I LOVE the opportunity to dress up, it can get pricey to do every year. You have to think about your dress, jewelry, bag, and shoes. And what girl wants to wear the same dress & accessories every year?! ha! So in favor of saving money, I decided to try out Rent the Runway a few years ago. Holy GAME. CHANGER. It is now my go-to for every year’s Marine Corps Ball!
Rent the Runway has a huge selection of formal gowns [& even accessories!] to choose from. And these are DESIGNER gowns that retail for hundreds and even thousands of dollars! You can easily narrow down by formality, length, color, size, and date availability. Once you find the dress you love most, you can select a 4 or 8 day rental. Rent the Runway makes it so easy to get a gown for whatever event you might have coming up!

This is my 3rd year using Rent the Runway for the Marine Corps Ball. I have previously worn this dress & this dress! They actually also carry lots of dresses that aren’t formal as well. I’ve even rented a special outfit for my birthday too! Rent the Runway is especially great for this time of year. With holiday parties right around the corner, everyone wants to wear a designer dress but not spend the money on a designer price tag. So a place like this is the perfect solution!
