Over the years, I’ve watched countless YouTube videos and read more blogs than I can count about the best beauty products. However, on a teacher budget, many of those products just aren’t affordable for me. Through the process of trial & error, I think I have found several great products that won’t break the bank!
Below are my top 10 beauty products that will fit in almost any budget!
As a new mom, dry shampoo has become my BFF. It’s easy to convince myself to take advantage of those extra 30 minutes I get when I am not washing / blow drying my hair when I know I have this stuff in my drawer! At only $7, this stuff is really a life saver. It smells SO good and it easily works into my hair, giving it life for another day or two!
I have super sensitive skin and over the years, I have tried more face washes that I can count. I’ve gone through Target brands, Proactive, and even some of the more expensive options found at department stores. But at the end of the day, this Tula option has been the best bet for me! It’s definitely more expensive that your typical Target brand BUT so. worth. it. This bottle is $28 & has a super mild / clean scent and gets everything off my skin.
I discovered It’s A 10 products on the aisles of CVS many years ago. I have used several different products by this brand but my absolute favorite has bee this whipped shampoo and conditioner! It leaves my hair smelling amazing and I LOVE how soft the conditioner leaves my hair too. They are sold at several different stores & I can usually find a coupon or discount to use when I get them!
This product is the bomb dot com! ha! I have super fine hair and it tangles SO easily! Even when I go get my hair done, my hair dresser just dries my hair before trying to brush it out. When I discovered this stuff it was a game changer! It’s only $5 and makes combing through my hair much more pleasant! ha! I don’t feel like I am ripping my hair out finally!
As mentioned above, my hair is a tangly mess when I wash it. Actually, let’s be honest. It tangles easily all the time! I used to dread brushing my hair because I knew it would be painful and probably pull out a lot of hair in the process. But once I was introduced to this brush, that all changed! It makes it SO much easier to detangle! And, the best part is it’s not some $30 hair brush! It’s here for under $9. Can’t beat that!
I know, I know. The most basic lotion ever. But! It works! I told you I have really sensitive skin & I do have to be careful about what I use as far as soaps and lotions. Well, it doesn’t get any more gentle than baby lotion! My husband and I actually both use this. We keep a massive bottle at home we normally use and anytime we travel we take the smaller size with us. It just feels so good on your skin and doesn’t irritate it at all! Plus, for only $4, it’s cheaper than many other drug store lotions!
If you have a job where you work well over 8 hours a day [I see you my fellow teachers! ha!], you know that your makeup can sometimes look a hot mess by the end of a crazy day. As a teacher and a coach, there is usually at least 1 day a week that I am at school from 7am to 8pm. Needless to say, my makeup needed a little extra help staying put that long! This setting spray was just what I needed! It is lightweight and not sticky at all. I feel like it really locks in my makeup for the day until I am ready for it to come off! It’s about $13 which is MUCH cheaper than the ones that [I think!] work just the same and cost upwards of $25.
Ok girls, we all know how miserable it can be trying to find a foundation that really works for your skin. This one is maybe not exactly the most affordable option out there, but I’ve found it’s the best for me. Oil free and super long lasting! And it doesn’t have the word ‘velvet’ in the title for nothing. Ashley definitely knew what she was doing with this formula! Worth every penny!
Ok, so if you’ve ever suffered from skin issues and fought the blemish battle, this is definitely a tool you need! I bought this nearly two years ago and have used it 3-4 times a week since then. While this is a bit more expensive than everything else on this list, it’s not a product that is going to run out. Yes, you have to replace the brush head occasionally but this is a tool you can use for a LONG time. For example, if I took the price of it and divided it by the number of times I have used it over the past two years, it breaks down to a mere 40 cents per use! And that price is only going to go down as I continue to use it! I apply a small amount of the Tula cleanser I mentioned above and wash either at night or sometimes in the shower! It seriously removes everything but is gentle on your skin. This is one product I can’t rave enough about!
If you have any questions about these products, please feel free to leave me a comment or send me an email! I’d love to hear about your experience with any of these OR other budget friendly beauty products you use! I am always open to trying out new things! Have a great day, friends! xo
