Happy Friday girlfriends! I’m in Missouri this weekend because we’re celebrating Beckam’s 1st birthday tomorrow with our friends and family! I can’t wait to see him with his smash cake! But TODAY I am so excited to share this gorgeous Spring outfit with you! I think blue has been my favorite color for most of my life… So when I saw these gorgeous pieces in the New Arrivals section at kate spade new york, I knew they were a must!
This ruffled top is absolutely stunning and while it matches this floral skirt perfectly, I also plan to wear it with white jeans or denim shorts soon! It’s such a flattering cut that I think it would look adorable on any girl. And this skirt… floral AND my favorite color? Definitely a no brainer! I love the layers and different sized prints. You can certainly plan to see me wear & share these sandals a LOT over the next several months. They are just the perfect color and the gold stud detail is so pretty! They will absolutely match almost every outfit!
While I love all of these pieces… I think my #1 favorite is this bag. It’s part of kate spade new york’s new personalization shop. Today I am showing you how the bag looks on its own. If you haven’t browsed through kate spade new york’s website lately, you’re definitely missing out! While I love shopping kate spade any time of year, I think Spring might be my favorite! The bright colors & prints just speak to me! [See more of my kate spade new york outfits here, here & here!] But then again, Spring is the best season of the year so I really love everything during these months. ha! Since this is my favorite season, I thought I would share 10 fun things I like to do during Spring! I hope this list inspires you to try one!
10 Things To Do This Spring
1. Go to a new farmer’s market: I love exploring new farmer’s markets and seeing all of the handmade goodies! Some of the best salsa I’ve ever had came from a sweet lady in a small town in Oklahoma! You just never know what you will find! Plus, seeing all of the brightly colored, fresh produce makes me want to eat healthier!
2. Attend an outdoor concert: Even if you don’t know the band or the genre isn’t your absolute favorite, there is nothing better than dancing around and having a great time with your friends! We stumbled upon one in Moore, OK last year and ended up having the best time!
3. Have a bonfire: Because bonfires = smores and they are my favorite. ha! But bonfires are just a great time with friends and family and it always means eating some of the best food. Turn up the music and have a good time!
4. Go to a baseball game: As a huge baseball fanatic, I am always up for a baseball game. If I had my choice, it would be an Atlanta Braves game. But since we have no MLB team here in Oklahoma, we like to go to the OKC Dodgers games. We can get tickets for about $8 each and make it a fun, outdoor date night! If you don’t have any AA or AAA teams near you, there might be some high school baseball teams that are just as fun to watch!
5. Spend a day at the zoo: With or without kids, the zoo can be such a fun place! It’s a great way to be active for the day and see some animals you don’t get to see very often. I could seriously spend hours watching the gorillas! ha!
6. Make a new smoothie recipe: There is just something about a cold smoothie that is so refreshing. And knowing it’s healthy makes it even more guilt free! There are tons of recipes out there with different fruits & veggies so you are sure to find one you haven’t tried and will love!
7. Start a DIY project: I don’t do DIY projects very often but when I do, I always have a good time. {Notice I didn’t say I always make something cool?! ha! I’ve had my fair share of Pinterest fails!} Spring is a great time to spruce up the decor in your house and there’s no better / more frugal way to do that than to make it yourself! Pinterest has TONS of options and most are pretty budget friendly. Make it a family project for some quality time too!
8. Go to the drive-in movie: This was one of my favorite things to do as a kid! Laying on blankets in the back of my dads truck and eating all the candy I could consume! Drive-in theaters are getting harder and harder to find so if you have one near you, take advantage on a Spring night! It’s a great chance to cuddle up! {We are going tonight!!}
9. Wear bright colors and floral patterns: It’s no secret I love florals and bright colors! Once the weather warms up and the days get longer, I love pulling out those pieces in my closet. Spring prints and styles are my favorite! If you’re needing to add a few to your closet, kate spade new york has so many cute options!
10. Invite friends over for a BBQ: Anything that involves being outside, food & friends is a definite YES from me! ha! Throw some steaks or chicken on the grill and hang outside since the sun is up for so long! And if you happen to have a fire pit, be sure to make smores! Can you tell I like smores? 😉 Throw on a few extra pieces of chicken to save for salads the next day!
