Hello from Oklahoma City!! I flew in yesterday with Beckam to visit family here in OKC & in Missouri. I am SO excited to spend some quality time with family & friends that I’ve been missing since we moved. And of course shop & eat at a few places I’ve been missing too! [Lush Fashion Lounge & Ted’s… I’m looking at you!] 😉 It was Beckam’s first time flying & I had to tackle it by myself since Jake couldn’t come. Between my experience & tons of great feedback I got from you guys on Instagram, I want to share a few tips for flying alone with kids on the blog soon!
But today let’s talk Fall. The temperatures might not quite be there where you live, but last week in Virginia we had a few days in the 60’s & it was heavenly! As the season starts to change it can be a little tricky to figure out what to wear. We all WANT to dress for Fall but the warmer temps hold us back! So I want to share 3 items that will allow you to indulge in feeling like your dressing for Fall without sweating it out when it’s still hot out.
1. Cut Out Booties
Booties are a definite Fall staple. But right now there are so many fun styles with cut-outs and cute details that make them a little more warm-weather friendly. I picked up this pair for only $60 & LOVE the strappy detail across the top. They are very ‘breathable’ and easy to wear! Another cut out bootie I’ve worn a lot the past few weeks is this pair. SO cute!
2. Light Layers
One of my favorite things about Fall is wearing layers! But when it’s 80 degrees outside, a sweater + cardigan combo just isn’t going to work. I recently got this adorable vest & it’s the perfect lightweight piece that gives the layered look without adding too much warmth. I’ve only had it for about two weeks & have already worn it 4 times!
3. Fall Colored Bag
This is a super easy way to incorporate your favorite Fall colors [navy, maroon, olive green] into an outfit regardless of the temperature! I just got this cute bag from Vera Bradley’s new Hadley collection. Obviously navy will match so much for Fall & it’s the perfect size! I’ve also been using this olive crossbody quite a bit- as seen on Instagram.
Well Beckam & I are off to see some of our favorite Oklahoma people! Hope y’all have a great Wednesday! xo
