Shabby Apple

Get ready girls… to meet your new shopping destination!
As a teacher, it is often difficult to find dresses & skirts that are an appropriate length for standing in front of middle school students. However, I finally hit the jackpot when I found Shabby Apple!

Dress: Shabby Apple c/o / Cardigan: Target similar here/ Boots: Tory Burch via Nordstrom / Hat: American Eagle similar here and here / Watch: Kate Spade / Necklace: Very Jane similar here / Bracelets: Mindy Mae’s Market c/o & J.Crew Factory

Shabby Apple was kind enough to send over the Frida dress to kick-start my new collection! This chambray shirtdress has perfect pinstripes, front pockets, & a tie waist. I paired the dress with my favorite autumn colors & these darling boots for a fun fall style. When the temperatures drop, I’ll change it up with printed tights or fleece leggings!

Shabby Apple was founded upon principles that are extremely unique and distinctive! The company mission to help beautify & empower women really caught my attention. Also, perhaps my favorite characteristic of the company is their generosity! They help support women all over the world. I think that’s an idea we can all get behind {& shop for}!

With a slightly retro & vintage vibe, Shabby Apple dresses are perfect for the working gal! My next purchase will definitely be the Dakota dress!

Which pretty Shabby Apple dress has caught your lustful eye?

Bold

Today’s look is quite the bold mix of patterns! Two years ago I would have laughed at the thought of wearing this outfit. However, my style has gradually evolved and I’ve become far more bold in my outfit choices and the things that I will pair together. I think it’s important for our taste to develop and evolve over time & to step our pretty little shoes out of that comfortable fashion box!

Striped Top: Old Navy similar here / Herringbone Vest: J.Crew Factory / Black Skinnies: American Eagle  similar here / Flats: Tory Burch / Leopard Belt: Target similar here / Envelope Clutch: Target similar here, love this leopard one / Watch: Kate Spade

The best tip I can give to those of you hesitant about mixing different patterns is to pick one color palette and stick with it! Black & white is such a classic combo. However, combining different black and white prints is a fun, trendy take on the timeless duo.

Before you go, you MUST check out these flats! I absolutely adore the herringbone print & bow. I just got them yesterday and can’t wait to get them on my feet!

Shopping Secrets

My best kept shopping secret? Don’t limit yourself to only shopping the women’s section! I very proudly own pieces from both the men’s & children’s sections too. For example, I have men’s camo pants {the perfect boyfriend fit}, boy’s sweaters from Crew Cuts {much cheaper}, & several vests and tanks from the girl’s section. One of my favorite out-of-department purchases? This faux fur vest from the girls section at Target!

Chambray: H&M similar here / Faux Fur Vest: Target kids- in stores only similar here, here, & here/ Maroon Skinnies: Forever 21 similar here / Necklace: Bauble Bar / Bar Necklace: Jane similar here / Cut Out Boots: TJ Maxx similar here and here/ Bow Bag: Kate Spade similar save option, splurge option

I stumbled upon this faux fur vest while searching for this polka dot puffer vest {bought that too}! It’s at a perfect price point & is a great fit! This vest is not yet online but I linked several other great options!

Also, I want to mention this fabulous necklace from Bauble Bar. It was my first BB purchase and I absolutely love it! If you’ve never checked out their jewelry, I encourage you to go look!

I wore this ensemble last night to an event at The Limited with my favorite twins from The Double Take Girls. They were so much fun & have such great style!

Enough of my rambling… Enjoy your Wednesday!!
