Must Have: {Leopard Flats}

Let’s just acknowledge that I am no stranger to mixing together different prints & styles {see examples of this on my Instagram}. I like throwing in unexpected details like leopard flats or a chunky statement necklace over a simple tee .

Kimono: Hazel & Olive Boutique similar here / Tee: Hello / Denim: American Eagle / Leopard Flats: Payless <similar options below> / Statement Necklace: Le Boutique Shop

If there is one style that 100% needs to be in your closet this fall, it is a good pair of leopard flats. Although leopard is a print, it can be utilized as a neutral! Leopard flats can be worn with just about any outfit. They are a great finishing piece that add a hint of style to escape an otherwise simple outfit! {I have linked lots of great, affordable options below!}

MAXImize Your Closet {Part 2}

I’m back on this lovely Thursday with another way to transform your favorite summer maxi dress into a fall appropriate look!

White Maxi Dress: Milk & Honey Boutique similar here / Striped Sweater: Target similar here / Envelope Clutch: Target similar here / Heels: Steve Madden / Necklace: Mindy Mae’s Market / Watch: Kate Spade

Layering a sweater on top of a dress is an incredibly easy way to get a new look from an old closet staple. This works for all types of different dresses {something I plan to do with several of my strapless dresses for the cooler months}. Since I was going for a more sophisticated date night look, I added a pair of basic pumps, statement necklace & black envelope clutch.

To create a similar look, make sure you are pairing pieces with a contrasting fit: Flowy skirt/dress with a fitted sweater OR a fitted skirt/dress with an oversized sweater.

I would love to see your take on this “maxi dress into fall” style! Tag me on Instagram <@kelsslayt> or tweet me <@StyledBlonde> to share your look!
