MAXImize your Closet {Part 1}

We all have those beloved summer maxi dresses that keep up cool in the dead of the summer… But what happens to those dresses when the temperatures drop & we are left reaching for warmer pieces? Well I decided I want to maximize my closet by taking those pieces into next season by adding appropriate layers!

This darling pleated white maxi dress from Milk & Honey Boutique was such a life saver this summer! However, it isn’t exactly “teacher appropriate” or warm on its own. Using a little Pinterest inspiration, {follow me here!} I opted to add my green utility jacket & cut-out booties. Now this maxi dress is almost as fall ready as I am! Adding this “tough,” structured jacket to the feminine pleat details of this dress created a fun contrast that was balanced with the neutral accessories. So go grab that dress you already put away for the cooler temps & try pairing it with booties and jacket for a refreshed style!
Come back tomorrow & I will share another way to transform your favorite summer dress into the perfect fall outfit!

Easy Solutions

I cannot tell you how many times I have stood in my closet doorway, racking my brain for outfit ideas, while my husband is rushing me to get out the door! Luckily, leggings & a jean jacket are always an easy solution.

When I have those days {we all know what I am referring to}, a leggings + tunic + jean jacket combo are an easy way to throw it all together while still looking put together. I scored this white tunic during the Nordstrom Nsale and it has been a life saver on multiple occasions.
& THANKFULLY the unbearable Oklahoma heat is starting to fade away so the booties are coming out!
I < along with the rest of the blog world > cannot wait to jump into sweaters, layers, and THESE boots 🙂

Have a wonderful day, friends!

Making the Transition

I’m diving into the world of blogging!
I have been actively posting daily outfits on Instagram for about a year & a half {@kelsslayt}. After contemplating creating a blog space for quite some time, I decided to finally take the plunge.
Styled Blonde will be used as a creative outlet for me to share my daily outfits, style inspiration, sales to shop, & other adventures along the way. I hope you’ll join me on this journey!
