Nashville is one of my new favorite cities for a weekend trip away with friends! It is full of SO much to do: Delicious restaurants, colorful wall murals, unique boutiques, and lots more. I went to meet up with a fabulous group of girls- many of which you will probably recognize! These girls are bloggers and shop owners from around the country. We all decided to meet up for a fun weekend full of food, laughs, and of course lots of pictures. After following most of these pretty ladies for years, it was great to finally meet them! They are each so sweet & if you aren’t already following them, you must go check them out! {I linked to each of their Instagram’s below!}
If you are going to Nashville, I’ve rounded up a few of the city highlights! These are places you should be sure to check out while in town… You won’t be disappointed!
Places to Eat
Biscuit Love: If you are looking for the best brunch of your life, HERE it is! We went with a large group & I think we ended up ordering almost every item on the menu. & It was all DELISH! Special shoutout to the bonuts. {biscuits + doughnuts = bonuts} A must have treat! Make sure you get here early because you will likely have to wait in line! We got there around 8am & waited about 20 minutes. TOTALLY worth it though! When we left the line was much longer! I would happily wait in line an hour for this food again. Especially if you are with a group of friends, the time will fly by while you chat away! Bonus- they had a super cute Nashville sign that is a great photo op!
The Pub Nashville: This was a random pick after an afternoon of taking pictures! They were able to accommodate our large group very quickly. Their menu has a huge variety of items but I dove in for the smoked gouda & chicken pasta & definitely had no regrets! SO good. This is located near several shops and other things to do in The Gulch. A great area for visitors!
Bartaco: Let’s start with the positive… The tacos are literally to die for. {Can you tell I ate myself silly this trip? ha!} I don’t know what is in their sauce/seasoning but it takes your average taco to a new level. Our group ordered SO many different tacos and no one had anything but raves for it all! I didn’t personally try them, but everyone also loved the grilled corn! The one negative I have to say about this place was our wait. We did have a large group {16} but called an hour ahead of time to get our name on the wait list. We waited a little over another hour at the restaurant to get our table. So after two hours, we were all starving! When we first arrived at the restaurant {our name had been on the list for an hour already} they told us our table was almost ready. But after another hour of waiting, it was clear that wasn’t exactly the case. I would recommend this place because the food was just so good but be mindful not to go here if you are in a hurry! If you’re going as a smaller group of 3 or 4, you might have better luck than we did!
Things to Do
Sprocket Rocket: Music Row is the place that Nashville is best known for. TONS of live music! Our group reserved one of those large party bikes and spent about an hour and a half pedaling up and down the main strip! It was a great way to see everything {SO many people everywhere!}, hear lots of music passing by, and still have fun as a group! If you are going for a bachelorette party or a with a large group of friends, I would highly recommend them!
Madi Flo Photography: Nashville is such a photogenic place! There really are so many cute areas that would make for great pictures. We all met up with Madi {she’s so sweet!} and took pictures in The Gulch area. If you are in town with a group, this is a great way to commemorate your time together! Or if you are with your family, what better time than a quick photoshoot together!
Sprinkles: Cupcakes. ATM. Do I need to say any more? This is the place you see all over Instagram! They have locations in several major cities and I definitely understand why they are so popular! They have TONS of flavors to choose between and from what I can tell, they’re all equally tasty!
12th Ave South: This is a really cute neighborhood that would be great to walk around! {This is where you can find Sprinkles and Bartaco} There are a few really quaint coffee shops that would be good for a relaxing morning! This is also where you can find Draper James. It’s the cute boutique created by Reese Witherspoon!
Wall Murals: Nashville has some of the best wall murals for great photos! Some of the ones you should definitely check out? 1. I Believe in Nashville. This is a classic and is really easy to find! It’s right off 12th Ave South, next to Draper James! 2. Blue Striped Wall. Speaking of Draper James, the side of their store building is massive blue and white stripes! Absolutely adorable. 3. Angel Wings. This is probably the most well known and most photographed! You can find this in The Gulch near Biscuit Love. There seemed to usually be a line to take a quick pic, but again, so worth it! I have seen pictures of it on Instagram of it but wow! The wings are so much bigger in person that I thought they would be.
A few other quick things worth noting about a weekend in Nashville… We stayed at an Air BnB near The Gulch. It was my first time staying in an Air B&B but something I will definitely do again. We had a great experience! I also LOVED shopping this outlet mall. Some of my favorites stores & brands at outlet pricing! And lastly, the Grand Ole Opry. A Nashville staple.
Overall, we had a great weekend! & Again, it was so amazing to finally meet these girls and do so many fun things in our short time together. We are already planning our next trip for Spring! If you have any other questions about Nashville, let me know! I was only there for a short time but would highly recommend making this your next weekend getaway destination!
